2014- New Year & New Hope

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:5 ESV)

Today documents the last day of 2013.  Every year contains its blessings, disappointments, loss, sickness, accomplishments, surprises, celebrations and so much more.  Despite the circumstances of the past year, did you grow closer to your Heavenly Father?  Was He glorified?  Are you seeking His Will?  God desires complete devotion.  Are you devoted to Christ?

Regardless of what did or did not happen this past year, tomorrow is a new year with a new beginning.  At this very moment, you can decide how 2014 will be lived.  What would God desire you to leave in 2013?  Is there a new thought pattern, new activity, or new hope that Christ would have for you in 2014?  Is there a calling that God would desire that you begin to walk in with all faith despite your lack of understanding?  Will you allow God’s power to be unleashed for this upcoming year so that He can touch every aspect of your life?  Do you trust Him regardless of any circumstance you may face?  Will you commit to walk in faith?

“And Peter answered Him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to You on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out His hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:28-31 ESV)
